GA question: Must you enter venue immediately?

(Pardon me if this has been discussed but I couldn't find a thread):

When you pick up 10c GA tix, do they

1) immediately put on your and your companion's wristband and make you go in?

2) immediately put on your and your companion's wristband but just give you the tix and you can go in whenever you want to?

3) give you the tix and wristbands and let you do as you please?

I'm pretty sure there's no way it's 3, but I'm at least hoping for 2. Reason I ask is because I'm likely going to need to dump an extra GA and I'm going to want to do it earlier rather than later, and it'll probably be to someone who wants to go in early, and I'd just as soon go in closer to showtime.

    It has been this way for Eurotour 2012, summer 2013, and first 2 shows fall 2013.

    To be fair, the person with the GA ticket calls the shots. I am doing a swap in Brooklyn. I have the Friday tickets, he has the Saturday (both 10c, face value, etc), so I told him in advance I may not get there very early, but like 30 minutes before showtime. On Saturday, he wants to go in early, so I will meet him when he tells me (although I'll likely goof off and not go in early again, the pit doesn't look crazy big, so I am not overly concerned where I am init). You've got a gold Wonka ticket, no one is going to give you grief over when you allow them to use it. ;-) If they do, you can certainly find someone who won't...
