**Official Please do not play Fathers son**

I will be going to 7 upcoming shows and I will be bringing my daughter who I have to admit took a while to get into this band. However I have not exposed her to some of the horrible songs they have released due to the fact that I do not want to deter my daughter from listening to my favorite band. I really hope that the shows that I go to this tour (2 Worc 2 Brooklyn 2 Philly and Hartford) they do not play this horrible song but I noticed they did last night in Buffalo. I can only hope other Fathers out there will campaign against this song as well.

Maybe it took you so long to force your musical tastes on her because she likes things you don't. Maybe one of those things is My Father's Son. Maybe you're doing damage to your relationship with your daughter because of your idiotic campaign.

  • Yes jamburger I must be an idiot. It is ok to have campaigns to play song but you must be an idiot if you do not want a song played. Lets just say everything they put out is the best and that its fine it took 4 years before this album came out. God forbid we criticize this band.

Who said it's ok to campaign for songs to be played? Criticize the band all you want, just don't think you're doing someone a favor by making up their mind for them (i.e. your daughter).

I'm doing three shows (Philly 1 and 2 & Baltimore) and I hope I do hear My Father's Son at least once. Probably my favorite song on LB.

I hope they play this awesome song at every show you go to and I hope your daughter loves it.

Also, at least learn the correct title of the song before you do this again.

Also, never do this again. The "Campaign to play this or that song" threads are shitty enough as it is.

let your daughter decide what she likes on her own. she'll appreciate that more. my 7 year old loves Mind Your Manners, but then told me "that's the only pearl jam song I like". Fair enough. we rock out to it together, and then she puts on Aqua and we dance to that together. it's fun no matter what it is as long as she likes it and we enjoy it together.

7 concerts, at a minimum $155 per show ($1085 spent at least) for someone who could be easily deterred from liking the band if she hears some of the 'horrible' stuff they've put out.

    Troll thread..... carry on.

You're nothing more than a fool. Song is great, was incredible live - and would make an amazing intro jam into brain of j - forcing your kids to only listen to music you like is one thing, but please don't push it on the rest of us.

Your daughter listens to Aqua? The group that did the 'Barbie Girl' song in the 90s? That's AWESOME
