I just made a reservation tonight for next weekend at the LaQuinta on W 150th St. near the airport. It is really nice because it is right next to the RTA rapid line, which basically begins and ends at Tower City which is connected to Gund Arena. I looked at the schedule, the last pickup to go back to the hotel is 12:25 am saturday night, which sounds just about perfect

with all the stuff going on next weekend, staying 15 min out of town might not be a bad idea, especially if you can avoid driving completely... the rate was $78 + tax for double occupancy... i am assuming there are still rooms available

What else is going on that weekend???
It seems as though every hotel in the city is booked.
I myself am staying by the airport, not by choice.

Thanks for the tip as I've been looking for a hotel for a few weeks to no avail and was going to start researching the Rapid approach. I'm unfamiliar with La Quinta, is it a decent place?

There apparently is the Cleveland Marathon that weekend that is consuming most of the downtown rooms as well as an Indians-Pirates baseball game.

I'm from Cleveland, currently living in Kent, about an hour south. If anyone has any Cleveland questions, lemme know. I also have an extra pair of tix in section 126 club...
