Pittsburgh GA lineup: how bad was it?

How early do you recommend someone to get in the GA line for a half decent spot?

I think about 3 hours before should put you somewhere around 45-50, based off Pittsburgh. Of course, it's impossible to tell, based off different cities. Some place like Charlottesville (for example) might be entirely different than Philly or NYC.

Did you get on the rail? I heard there was mass confusion and people from other gates got into GA before the "GA line"

Also curious if the entire pit stood for the two hours prior to them coming out?

yep, in front of Stone. and yea there were a lot of people up front that were not in our line. nobody skipped going in our doors so the only logical explanation was that people from the other entrance (which was NOT supposed to allow GA tix) got in earlier than us. i'd say about 40 people can fit on the rail.

to the last question, yep the pit stood the whole time!

So there was a special entrance that was just supposed to be GA people? Isn't that where they give you your wristband for the GA?

if so, how did the other people get down there before the GA line??? That would make me :nono:

I think the 10C ticket booth gives you your tix and bracelets.

How big was the pit? About how many "rows" deep did it go?

Yep, wristband came with the tickets when you picked them up. We were also told that our GA specific line was supposed to be allowed to enter ten minutes before and other gate and that didn't happen, thus letting members of what I call the "stalker clique" to get right up front.
