i checked and saw one this morning. now there are at least five or six. i would love it if the ten club was kidding about it being limited edition and "flooded the market" with the LP.

32 shows since 2001 and counting ..
I'm probably going to open and listen to it...but if it's going to have any value, I might buy a store copy and keep the 10c copy unopened....thoughts?

Maybe I missed something (easy to do with the dozens of ITW vinyl threads), but how do you know this?
"Sometimes I think I'd be better off dead. No, wait, not me, you." -Deep Toughts, Jack Handy
There is a huge difference between the asking price and what they will actually sell for. The seller is merely asking a crazy price.
Will mine be the exact same as the 10C one? Sorry, I wasn't around much the past few days!
Good to have you back!
just amazed. hope there are some available on the 28th or whenever it is formally released.
respect
Nothing like Pearl Jam ether... the fear of never owning this is driving the price.
Exactly....
Does anyone even know the run on it?
Yep.
NOPE! hasnt been mentioned, it always VERY LIMITED. i cant believe its going for 165$ already thats incredibly stupid;.
They probably bought a bunch from that site that sold out yesterday.
Didn't someone say that site had about 500 of them?
I'm thinking maybe there's about 2,000. If that site got about 500, you'd think 10C would get the most so we'll say maybe they got about 500. So that's 1,000 right there. Now some record shops in the US will have them, and some in the UK and maybe some other countries will as well. Maybe 1,000 between them?
It's a rough number and I could be way off, but I think it's a realistic one.
A friend, he called, I didn't mention a thing. The last thing he said was, "Be sound". Sound. I contemplated an awful thing, I hate to admit. I just thought those would be such appropriate last words. But I'm still here.
freakin gay if you ask me ;p
doubt it, you could order as many as you like from the aural website. the person probably ordered 10 copies.
i cant believe how much these are selling for lol. some people are seriously retarded.
edit - also cant believe how much shipping is for them. one guys shipping is 4 times what he paid for shipping lmao. unreal!
I have wondered about this for awhile. It seems almost everything 10 club has released in the past few years has been limited edition. I mean they don't want people trying to make a profit off stuff yet they keep doing it. I can almost see why posters are limited because they are somewhat difficult to print, but when we have things like limited edition towels and stickers and golf shirts and records what is the point. It would seem like with those things if there is a known demand for them it would be easy to produce more. I am also wondering if they keep production low to keep the buzz up about the band and 10 club. If there were 10,000 copies of Into the Wild available pretty much 3/4 of the posts for the last few days wouldn't exist and there would probably be no ebay auctions.
Im sure you are right on all accounts.... its so silly though. I mean, if they were smart, they would have the stuff stocked up 24/7 ... thus elliminating the triple the price ebay stuff, no one would give a shit.... they would be making more money ect ect. Hey i bet you could finance a whole southern tour on some fucking pearl jam towels. Just sucks for the people who are just fans, and would like to enjoy these products at a resonable price

I think you both are severely misguided in your judgments against the 10C.
You are giving them way too much credit - as though they have any control over this ITW LP. They don't. They didn't make these decisions. They are merely just passing these onto fans - the best they can. There is not an unlimited supply of them.
I was just commenting on a trend I have been noticing lately with the 10 club. Maybe they don't have control over the supply, but what about the other items I mentioned that were limited edition. Surely they have control over how many PJ surfboard stickers or Beach Towels were made, so what was the point of making those limited edition?
Besides even if someone else was making them 10 was likely the company that ordered the most (I can't see any record store having more than a few) so it would make sense to me that they had some input on how many were made.
Well as far as the towels go... my understanding is the following. (Some guy from the board, his mom works for the company the towels were made by, and there was certain amount made)
Those were not made to be sold online, they were made as merch for the Australian shows and the leftovers were sold at the Hawaii show and online, so whatever inventory they had was what they sold and that's why not everyone got one (me included)... it wouldn't make any sense to have more done just to have an online sell when they were not intended for that in the first place....
I blame Ed, it's his album... he should have ordered more of them...
That's interesting, although it is not like the towels even say "Aussie Tour" or anything like that on them. I remember how fast they sold out so there is obviously a market for them. I don't think there would be anything stopping 10 club from contacting that company and asking to have more produced. I mean at the end of the day, even though 10 club does many awesome things, they are a business. So why not give customers something they want.
