Hola. Have heard some wonderings as how to pack up all camping gear and then fly in an airplane. i did that last winter and good luck to all who try it. i am driving up and camping sat and sun and would be glad to hook up a couple of folks with the essentials - tent, tarp, sleeping bag, thermarest, maybe a chair - to borrow for the weekend. i don't have much space, but i've got enough to bring some extra gear. better than sleeping in a rental car.

  • Hello. Just like with Sasquatch! last month, there's a good chance that I'll probably wind up with an extra tent. I'm staying at the Gorge campground... will likely roll in late Friday night. And at that point, there won't be too many people there, so I'll wind up fairly close to the store and showers. Where are you flying in from?

My 17 year-old son and I are flying from SC and I've really been sweating about how to pull this off.....I don't think we'll be at the Gorge until Saturday, though. I only have reservations for Saturday and Sunday night. I will be renting a car in Seattle. We have both camped but we're not pros so we'll probably have to buy stuff out there.

I don't suppose there's a chance the offer will still be available on Saturday.....? If not, it's still amazingly nice of you to offer to do that for fellow fans! Both of you!

  • Shit, I'm so braindead this morning. I thought eddie_akau said HE was flying in. But yeah, I could try my best to help you out. If I just come up with the five people in my car, space will be a wee bit cramped... so an extra tent would probably be the most I could spare... but if I do score an extra pair of tickets for each night and borrow the parent's van, I might be able to help out with other essentials. You sound pretty appreciative, so why not? :)

Me too, I guess and it's not even morning here. I'm staying at the Wild Horse.........guess that might make the logistics difficult, huh? I've never been there, of course. Still a nice offer

I am NOT flying to the gorge, i am driving, offering to bring camping gear for any folks who may be fllying in from remote parts of the planet. i dont arrive to the shows until saturday, but will be around the portland/salem area a few days before and am at the campground for both sat and sun. it's just me and and the wife, so i got a little space for extra camping gear, which i also happen to have. just hit me up

    my first gorge show! wooo!

im flying in from the east coast to SF a week earlier with camping gear as I am camping in SF for all of those shows before driving up the coast.

I plan on getting to the gorge campground on friday night late, probably around midnight.

Will I even be able ot get in that late? If not do you know when it "closes"?

Where are the "best" spots that will be available at that point?

I got the 3 day "premiere" camping pass and thats all i know about anything :)
