So I just listened to Getaway tonight and think I have the chords figured out because there don't seem to be too many. Please post corrections. This is just the bare bones chords that I hear. Obviously the strumming pattern not included.
Intro/verse: A5 C5...A5 C5...A5 D5 C5 G5
Pre-chorus: F5 A5 G5...F5 A5 G5...F5 A5 G5 C5 D5
Chorus: A5 C5 F chord (played at the 8th fret on 5th string) E chord (played at the 7th fret on 5th string )
Intro/verse: A5 C5...A5 C5...A5 D5 C5 G5
Pre-chorus: F5 A5 G5...F5 A5 G5...F5 A5 G5 C5 D5
Chorus: A5 C5 F chord (played at the 8th fret on 5th string) E chord (played at the 7th fret on 5th string )

There is one part in the 3rd or 4th verse after the chorus where the guitars stop but come back in on the G and go up to an A played at the 12th fret then back down to the chords C - A(12th), C - A(12th), D - A(12th) ,etc. same pattern as the usual verses...
Agreed. A great song and fun to play even though quite a simple structure.
I am hanging in the balance of a perfect finished plan
Like every sparrow falling, like every grain of sand.
Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?
Gosh, I'm new to the bass, and music, really, but I want to learn this. Does the bass line follow the guitar chords, and when there is variation, what is the scale progression?
I hope what I'm asking doesn't sound like nonsense.
