    After 5 listenes I'm not feeling this song yet. It doesn't mean i won't, but I think the lyrics are too simple for Ed. I don't like the flow of the song either. Only other song I'm not feeling is lightning bolt, thoughts?

    Simple? The whole song is one big curve ball.

    The title "My Father's Son" sounds like it would be to a sweet, sentimental song fit for a Hallmark commercial. This song had me at "psychopath."

    Being someone that grew up with a shit dad... Er he wasn't in the picture at all... He left my mom when I was 4 and I really have had little to no contact with him since then (I'm 30 now)... This one really hits close to home... I love the song - Gloria Estefan bridge and all...

    I think the bridge is fantastic. They went out of the ordinary on this one and it is insane when EV sounds so angry coming out of the bridge.
