  • Yeah, I was a bit caught off guard on the no opening act. Surely there's gotta be a local band of some notoriety that would be more than happy to open, or will Pearl Jam really go three hours?

So rad!!! Nothing like standing in GA waiting for an opening act I don't care about, and an intermission before they take the stage.... More pj time!! (In theory)

Would they really do a tour of 3 hour shows?

It seems all the shows except the handful in the northwest have no opener?

PJ in my experience builds up stamina. Often shows earlier in a tour are closer to 2 hours and shows at the end get closer to 2.5 (with the odd exception).

That would epic if they are trying to 3 hour epic sets every night. On the flip side I'm seeing shows in Vancouver/Seattle. It would be a bit disappointing to see everyone else get 3 hour shows and we get an hour of mudhoney and 2 hours of PJ :(

Anyone else staying at The Grant Hotel?

I stayed there once. It's a really nice fancy hotel but the lack of soundproof walls would have the rank it below the 5 stars it gets. The walls don't block much sound from the street or the neighboring suites. I've seen two star hotels that had better padding between the walls :(

I guess that's me though. I don't sleep well when I can hear the road and whats going on in the surrounding suites :( It's a problem found in old hotels, but I've also seen old hotels that have put money into fixing those kind of issues....

  • Anyone know if there will be a pre or post party for the San Diego tour stop?
  • I know I'm responding to an old post from 2013, but maybe there are still some PJ fans here still looking for a pre party

The long awaited North American Pearl Jam tour is here!  Let's celebrate together as friends/fans and get things started off right, with a concert pre-party on Monday May 2nd (8pm - 11pm) with a tribute to Pearl Jam featuring San Diego's very own OCEANS band at the world's greatest beach bar The Kraken https://krakencardiff.com/ in beautiful Cardiff by the Sea.  Not to far from where Ed used to live back in his San Diego days.  Who knows, maybe he'll make a special appearance

I will personally be raffling off some of my old merch including a couple posters from PJ's 2018 classic Wrigley Field "Let's Play Two" shows, with proceeds benefiting Guitars in the Classroomhttps://www.guitarsintheclassroom.org.

Have any merch you'd like to trade?  This would be a great time and place to do it!  I know I will looking to deal :)

I look forward to hanging out and putting back a few cold ones with the most amazing fans in the world.  Come one, come all!  "I'll ride the wave where it takes me..."
