Here's a short video of one of my favorite authors, Bill McKibben talking with Bill Moyer's about another favorite author, Wendell Berry, and the virtues of farmer's markets and sustainable agriculture. Well worth a the few minutes to watch:

“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

Yikes! I saw Wendell Berry speak in Sacramento a few years ago and the price of admission was quite reasonable. After his talk, I told Mr.Berry that several years ago I had sent him a letter and that his response in a letter to me made a huge and positive difference in my life. He looked at me a little sheepishly and with a smile said, "Well, I'm glad I did something right."
Thank you Wendell Berry!
