what are you going through? what are your changes?

http://youtu.be/K7IWysVlXyo

I feel unhappy
I feel so sad
I lost the best friend
That I ever had

She was my woman
I loved her so
But it's too late now
I've let her go

I'm going through changes
I'm going through changes

We shared the eve's
We shared each day
In love together
We found a way

But soon the world
Had its evil way
My heart was blinded
Love went astray

I'm going through changes
I'm going through changes

It took so long
To realize
That I can still hear
Her last goodbyes

Now all my days
Are filled with tears
Wish I could go back
And change these years

I'm going through changes
I'm going through changes

mine is: getting healthy, mentally & physically
spiritually of course

Pearl Jam has some great lyrics about changes, changing.

I think most changes are borne of time and experience - the inevitable ones, the unconscious ones. The ones we don't realize have taken place, for better or worse, without hindsight and honesty.

Then there are the instantaneous changes, whether or not by choice. We've experienced two this year, one unchosen and not so good (at the time), and one deliberately made, and beautifully lifechanging (for all time).

Sounds like you're on a good road, chadwick.

  • good work chad. glad you are taking positive steps.

    great idea for a thread.

    i am basically healing.

looking to make a career move. something different than what i have been doing for years.

writing a lot, recording a lot of original songs. i did 3 this week that i am proud of. hopefully i will end up having a collection from this period of time that i can actually be happy to claim as mine that i will not be mortified by in a month. my writing often mortifies me later after i have written it....

    reinventing myself into something better.

honestly thinking about leaving this message forum though.

i've been on here almost daily since 1998. recently learning who your actual real friends are and who does not give a flying shit about you has been a humbling experience.

i am too honest for this place and too honest for most of the people here. gets me taken advantage of too often. there are too many negative associations here for my frame of mind at the moment.

    And Blind Melon's.

Seems a common thread through music (even those without lyrics).
