Would a GA "system" work?

I went to NIN in St Louis Tuesday night and was pretty impressed by the way the pre-sale line was handled. They gave out wristbands that were pre-numbered with sharpie after your name was checked off the list. Starting with the first person in line and moving back. After that lines were formed A-L and M-Z and you went through security and got your tickets. Once inside they lined you up in lines 1-200 and another 201-###, etc. they started letting people in the pit area 15 minutes before general public seats. Once inside people settled in and the numbers didn't mean as much but it was orderly and the people who waited all day got their spot on the rail. Sorry to bring this topic back up, I promise it's not meant to cause drama. I was at Wrigley and saw both sides of the frustration. I don't post very often but have been thinking about it a lot since Tuesday. I'm guessing I'm not the first to ask or post so sorry if this is a repeat or whatever. Is the Pearl Jam GA number too large for that kind of system? Or something else I haven't considered? I just figured I would ask out of curiosity more than anything else. Thanks for taking the time to read and ponder this.
I hope everybody gets what they are looking for from the album, tour and future days ahead. Be safe and I will see you on the road!
I'm a lucky man to count on both hands the ones I love.
