What were you people thinking, that a second show would just magically appear, this late before tour???
again Albany is on the east coast guy...get a map if you need help.
I think if Albany got a show I wouldnt be blaming the fact Albany has a show to Seattle not getting a 2nd.
and yea it wouldnt be magic for a show to pop up 2 months prior
You guys are so friggin greedy. You got one show, and that's just. Not. ENOUGH. for you.
For me it has nothing to do with being Greedy, we didn't have a definitive answer. A lot of signs pointed to a second show so the glimmer of hope was there that it would materialize. I'm travelling across the country and now that i know that it isn't happening %100 i can finalize my travel plans, i would have been bummed if i booked a flight out on Sautrday and they annoucned a show for Saturday night.
I'm quite content seeing them 3 times that week in Calgary, Vancouver and Seattle! Hell i would have been content seeing them once in seattle for that matter.Enjoy difference. Without it we're all boring!0 -

Thanks for being a troll, you made your point very clear you hope fans in and traveling Seattle don't get (or deserve maybe) a second show.

Take heed.
Irrelevant. Maybe you should not celebrate when other people hoping for another show on their vacations don't get one.
I'm not celebrating, just pointing out the obvious.
They didn't announce a second show back when the first was sold out. They didn't announce a second show when they added a second Worcester show. Yet, people on here kept believing they would add another Seattle show for MONTHS. It's just plain delusional when you think about it. Yet, 10C really should have communicated this info months ago rather than have fans speculate and alter their travel plans. So don't blame me, blame 10c for not being upfront with you.
This is an issue fans should have bugged the shit out of 10c about.0 -

By the tone of your posts, you seem pretty happy that those of us hoping for 2 shows don't get one. If you have nothing to do with this show, or topic, why not leave it alone....got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...0 -

Not at all. I like how you attempt to put words in my mouth. Do you do this with other people who disagree with you? I'm simply pointing out the obvious, but all of you who assumed there would be a second show were living in a bubble. Read my siggy.0 -

I saw it, and it brings nothing to the topic. I am not putting words in your mouth, just stating the obvious. I hoped there would be one in Seattle while I am out there, you seem to think that is a bad thing. Or makes me a gluttonous person. Big assumption on your part there....got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...0 -

I'm happy to be seeing them once in Seattle! It was more or less a last minute decision for me, and I can't wait to see them in their hometown!!"A beacon on dry land"0

You'll get no sympathy/empathy from the people who were hoping for a Detroit or Toronto show, like me.
And who gives a shit about your whatever...wasnt looking for it. Was just passing along what has been brought to my attention, and yes WE WERE HOPING FOR FUCKING AS MANY AS WE COULD GET, FUCKIN WHO WOULDNT.
Detroit, Toronto or Zimbabwe have nothing to do with a potential Seattle 2...plus its still early and I myself hope you get 10 shows in each place...cause what does one have to do with the other????
Me for 1 am a little disappointed, but glad I could actually finalize my plans...because I dont live in the area.
I didn't say they addition of a show to one city would take away from another. I could have sworn I didn't say that, but let me double check....... Yup, didn't say that. I was pointing out the fact that Seattle has one show, and two cities that love Pearl Jam don't have any.0 -
Sucks.
I get it, but the Northeast gets 3 different cities with two shows. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me, especially considering they haven't played in Seattle since 2009, it's the last show on the tour in their home town, it's on a weekend, and sold out with high demand and people flying in from all over the country/world. Kind of scratching my head at this one. And yeah, I would love a second show because like a lot of others, I'm staying in the city thru Sunday. So call me fucking greedy all you want.
But whatever, it's going to be the best show of the entire tour and will be legendary so what do I care? :PBristow, VA - 5.13.10

I guess it's a little greedy, but PJ has played two shows in Seattle in most of the tours since 1996 which makes this the first tour in a while where they went with 1. It does seem a bit off. When you consider the original leaker leaked two dates (with the first being correct), a few ticketmaster blips showing a 2nd date, the first show selling out in less than 20 seconds, and the arena being reserved.... you have to wonder what happened?
Was the band so pissed from the 09 shows that the opted not to do a 2nd seattle show? They're in their hometown, they don't have to travel, the demand was so high the only tickets most people got were behind the stage for the show on the 6th.
I'm curious to know what the thought process was. The little bit of leaked information points towards a 2nd show that never happened... very odd. It'll be the first show single show in seattle since way back before the no code tour (unless you count gorge 05 which was a last minute announcement and got stuck the day before vancouver, thus making a 2nd show impossible).....
I would say I'm a little dissapointed but I'm still seeing Vancouver and Seattle. Had I known with absolutely certainty there was no 2nd seattle show in advance.. i may have strong considered Calgary/Spokane/Vancouver instead of Vancouver/Seattle. Would of had GA for all 3 shows0 -
Actually im really happy. Seattle will be even more epic now!Tres Mts- 3/16/2011

RNDM- 11/27/12
PEARL JAM- 12/6/13 I have finally seen Pearl Jam live!0 -
Was their any rational provided for no second Seattle show on the Sirius town hall? Like others have mentioned, it is kind of a decision that leaves fans scratching their heads.
Regarding the 2009 Seattle shows, I think that could be the reason. The band started their Backspacer tour there and didn't seem passionate at all at either show. Maybe they prefer the hype and craze surrounding 1 very high demand show rather than 2 somewhat high demand shows.
That and they are playing in Spokane, Portland, and Vancouver leading up to the Seattle show, none which have sold out yet.Member Number: 437xxx

One would hope. In my experience Seattle shows are hit miss with being epic.
I don't think you can call epic in advance.. epic is just something that happens?
Sorry...did someone say something about Seattle and epic?0 -

By the way - I am an American - i take great pride in my GREED. I drive a BMW - I have the Sunday NFL ticket - i sometimes buy a whole pizza even though i know i will only eat half -- then i throw the other half away. I have bought tickets for concerts just in case i decided to go ... and i never went! I literally just wasted 2 seats! I have a closet full of Air Jordan shoes i bought specifically to put in that closet and never wear! I have tons of Pearl Jam posters that set in a flat file and will never see the light of day. I sometimes throw out a half cigarette simply because i am bored with smoking it.
Oh its okay that Seattle didn't get a 2nd show -- i just added the 2 LA shows and New Orleans to my list to make up for it.
Have fun posting hateful shit on here while we are all out at various shows -- really sorry about the Albany deal. (that last part was sarcasm, because i doubt you would have figured that out on your own)0 -
Can someone confirm that there won't be a second show in Seattle? I would like a second one but if there is no second, I'm fine... but I need to know it!
I'm coming from Spain and I would like to enjoy the most my trip and that day (Saturday) I have the chance to get NBA tickets in Portland or a Black Crowes show in Seattle... I just need a confirmation!! I do not want to stay in Portland during a Pearl Jam show in Seattle!!Hey Foxymophandlemama, That's Me -> Stupid Mop -> Estúpida Fregona -> www.estupidafregona.net0 -
I'd go if there was.
Right now I've been looking at StubHub and EBay. Too pricey for seats behind the stage even.
If no second show... what will prices be like outside the venue via scalpers? I have a long way to drive and don't wish to do it if the prices are simply going to make me puke."My brain's a good brain!"0
