    even flow is great because:

    #1 The lyric flubbing

    #2 Ed smoking onstage

    #3 McCready Giraffe impersonations

    #4 Hairband style drum solos

#5 People take bathroom breaks during the song.... this is a Pearl Jam show, not a play.

Even Flow needs a MAJOR tidying up job... jam on something else next tour.

Oh wait, I also love how everyone talks about: "next time I see PJ"... wasn't this band waaaaaaaay cooler when there was a sense of mystery and a chance that there might not be a "next show"????

In much more positive news the mix on the new boots is killer.

I love these guys. Like Stephen King and Jack Ketchum, their words and voices and ideas and weird company were sometimes the only things that kept me from going over the edge. And in the Real Bad Times they followed me right over the edge. Straight down.

So if I think they could give Even Flow a little break, I hope no one takes offense.

  • I'm interested to find out which shows it wasn't played at. And, then take away the acoustic shows (Bridge School, Benaroya) etc, and I'd venture to say its probably less than 10 shows.

Totally agree.... I have seen this song 20 times and each time it gets more and more self indulgent for Mike. Sometimes it really seems as if he forgets what song he is playing and actually gets lost. The rest of the band seems kinda bored as Mike rambles through.
Please clean this up and make it less of a given.
However, I understand that about 80% of the rest of the audience is waiting for something to sing/mumble along to so I understand.... ticket sales = $$

Anyone know the link to that webpage where it let you picked the shows you attended and it gives you a run down of how many times you've heard each song? It was at a Pearl Jam site but I can't remember which one? Anyone? Thanks.
