A lot of good all that insurance will do you if you can't get in to see a doctor...

Curious which minority you are mocking with that thread title?

Opponents of the ACA push me towards supporting the law more and more each day.

Regardless of whether the ACA is in place, the health care system is becoming overwhelmed by the ever rising population. ACA will just speed up the process. No mocking intended...just my attempt at being silly, what minority were you assuming I was mocking?

A generic, non-white. If you say that was not your intent, fair enough. Apologies if I misinterpreted.

I was going to guess a black dude from Berlin who's native language is French.

You mention population and an overwhelmed health care system. Which do you mean will be speeded up by the ACA process?

I was thinking more along the lines of some random cartoon character or sitcom actor, but to each their own. As also pointed out by the CNN article, ACA will most definitely cause a surge of people seeking medical care just as others with insurance tend to seek medical attention for non-emergency reasons. I am guilty of going to the doctor for an allergy shot or for a "wellness checkup" because my insurance pays for it...where I probably would not have otherwise. My initial reasoning behind my original post was to point out that our health care system is in jeopardy for a number of reasons...and hopefully get some insightful responses. My only point about the ACA was that it will increase the population of people seeking medical attention in the same way baby boomers will as they age. There just aren't enough medical professionals to cover the rising demand if health care. Might be a good time for people to try and stay healthy, ha!
