Nowhere

The tree shapes are molded
by the trucks that carry their load
the red horizon shows me
the mirage of the end of the road

there are some that stop
for some fun on the side
I may have lost my mind
but I still have my pride

I look for you all night
at the bottom of my glass
it's clear my mind is foggy
failing at the top of my class

bison to my left
groundhogs to my right
loneliness straight ahead
my future out of sight

you are nowhere to be found
not in the sky or on the ground
screaming your name without a sound
I'll keep looking....sir, another round
