Does anyone know if non-credit continuing education courses are tax deductible, specifically in the field of fine arts?

if you at all work in the arts, it is professional development, and can be written off. when i was an educator, i could write off just about ANY schooling since it could be considered related. now that i am not working, as it still is related in field to work i have done/am looking to do - again, can write it off.
i am enrolled in a non-credit professional studies program at FIT for graphic design - my tuition will certainly be claimed as a deduction, as always.
helps to live within a family of accountants when you're the one black sheep. haha.

I am (hold a BS degree) and work as an engineer, so if I want to take an engineering-related course, I can write it off? :?:

Whether you actually see that deduction will also depend on your income and other deductions subject to the 2% floor.
