Keep Monsanto Protection Act out of fed. funding

We did it! Environmental champions in the Senate have stripped the Monsanto Protection Act from a major funding bill.

But this fight isn't over yet -- Monsanto's lackeys will almost assuredly try to sneak it right back in during the fight over the government shutdown. This dangerous legislation would put the GMO mega-corporation above the law, blocking citizens like you or me from suing them if their food makes us sick.

Tell your representative to do the work of the people -- not Monsanto. Demand Congress keep the Monsanto Protection Act out of the funding bill!

Ever look at how many former Monsanto executives have been appointed to high level federal government positions over the last six years?

    Hint. It's a lot.

sorry ... didn't see that movie!

ok ... as to your issue:

without knowing what causes fatherless children ...

i will speculate that the main causes are:
    1. irresponsibility
    2. incarceration
    3. inability to co-exist with mother
    4. death

all of these causes can be somewhat linked to the social infrastructure of america ... where poverty and class are impediments to traditional family roles ... this is related to an overall gov't philosophy that does not support these class divisions in a meaningful way ... see the fall of the middle class ... this prosperity gap has made a society that is divided by the haves and the have nots ... i will also speculate that many of the fatherless kids are in low income homes ... monsanto perpetuates this division by lobbying and controlling gov't policy that gives their company a competitive advantage which means only the rich or well off can afford real food like organics ... this in turn means the lower income people have little to no access to real food which in turn affects people from lower classes to function at the level necessary to overcome their poverty ...

That's right. And that's the point of doing what we can to keep the Monsanto Protection Act OUT OF FED. FUNDING.

  • I don't know how they get away with taking a farmers life away, and selling them seeds that kill themselves off after one crop, only to buy more. I wonder how mankind got this far without this corporation?!

this one is easy ... mainstream media is but a shill for corporations to push the corporate agenda ... propaganda pieces and the like ... food companies are the worst in terms of perpetuating myths in order to get consumers to buy their shit (in every way) products ... biotech companies like Monsanto have their dirty paws in a lot of these food companies that use their strength through advertising dollars and connections to make sure misinformation is delivered accordingly ...

I try and push the highlighted on everyone I know. Yet, people continue to follow the media like it's fact. When are people going to stop listening to the media? When are people going to just shut it all off?!!!

it's pandora's box ... opening their eyes to the possibility that they are being lied to and manipulated is something people just aren't keen on finding out ... it can lead to their structured lives being shattered ... the truth ultimately forces action and change ... and many people don't want that ...
