Did they? Or is it some record company decision? And will they play the NIn song Wish together? ;)

Aye, it was the booking agents fault, nothing to do with the band.

THe stadium wasn't selling well so the obvious thing to do is bring in another big name who can bump the ticket numbers up a bit. From a business point of view the best way to do that is to choose a band who attract a totally different audience (why do you need to attract people who already have tickets? it's a false economy), so Linkin Park it is.

I won't judge til ive seen them, can't be that bad. At the very least it'll be a laugh.

I don't understand why PJ couldn't just play the arena they played in Poland in 2000, they are not a stadium band, its gonna be the record companies decision, man i wish they had gone indie!

PJ told they would only play an open air show this time. And as for Linkin Park - the promoter has tried to make them play in Poland for some time now, and when they finally agreed, it turned out June 13th was the only available date. So they asked PJ if they wouldn't mind being supported by LP.

Actually they asked Linkin Park if they agree to play before Pearl Jam. I guess PJ didn't care about the support acts at all.

TheGossman >> yeah, I don't get this open-air-no-bootlegs-semi-festivals idea of tour either. But any show is better than no show - so I won't whine. I only hope that Pearl Jam will play more than just a short festival set.
