are Daughter-Why Go-Rearviewmirror all one story?

they seem to fit together with rearviewmirror being a first person account of what happened, all are the same subject matter, or at least appear to be as I dissect each song, I know Daughter originally Brother was one of the first songs written, not sure when it was changed to Daughter, anyway of you play all 3 in this order it does tell a story that goes through a personal evolution, I think at the very least Rearviewmirror is a continuation of Why Go, but only Eddie really would know for sure

    As far as I remember they are. I had an unoffical Vs song guide back in the day. Shades go down.... Finally the shades are raised.

    Yes there is definitely the link between Daughter and RVM. Not sure if Why Go is connected.

    While all three songs have to do with parental misconduct or abuse on some level, the stories themselves are separate. In Daughter, the child is beaten for an undiagnosed mental health issue mistaken for general misbehavior. Why Go has to do with a teenage friend of Eddie's sent to an institution for getting caught smoking pot by her mom. When she gets out, the mother continues to be as overzealous as ever. The follow-up to this situation is addressed in the song, Leash, which tells the mother to "Get out of my fuckin' face." And RVM is based on Ed's own personal experience. So that's that.

    I think they are written about the same girl who Ed knew way back when. Her name is written in the booklet for Ten or Vs, I think.
