Neil Young-Farmaid 2013-Climate Change

Rather than drop this in "Other Music", this link seems appropriate here as Neil chose to use a good deal of his time at Farmaid 2013 yesterday (wish I'd been there!) to talk about climate change. I'm not suggesting that Neil Young is an authority on climate science, but it's great to see his impassioned speaking (which starts at 3:59) on the subject- not to mentioned a beautiful rendition of an old classic song of his.

Big thanks go out to my good friend Jeanwah for providing this link.

“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

Gotta love, Neil- he saw this coming way back in the 70s. "Look at Mother Nature on the run in the 1970s" (After the Goldrush)

You do know where icebergs come from right?

I know this is asking a lot, but maybe you should try and think about what you said.

Sorry, not this one. ;) This is about sustainable farming, supporting small family farms and not giving the corporate "farms" free reign.

Here's another one from last yesterday's event:

  • Neil's the man. God, I love him. He's picking up from where Eddie Vedder dropped off, years ago, as far as being a spokesman for the people. Long live the man!

Agreed- yes! Only Neil has been speaking out against war and trying to help the environment since before Ed was an adult:

For example, all of "Ohio" (released June 1970) and
"Look at Mother Nature on the run in the 1970's"

As far as environmental issues go, I'd say Stone has been the greater champion among the boys in PJ.

I'm glad that Neil's never shut his mouth!
