buy now. $1750. Am I silly to think this is decent value as an medium / long term investment? I don't have the money. struggled to afford to frame my show edition prints. Just looking for opinion on "value" of these prints.

again.. ZERO relation to seller. hate to even post / market this on his/ her behalf. Just curious as to opinion on how these "rare" prints go nuclear in value? Will value / market hold?

The variant has been selling for over $1000 so who knows what it will be worth in 5 or 10 years......overall is 3 posters really worth that much??
Cant buy what i want cause its free....
  • Because the variant goes for over $1000 by itself, last one sold for $1050 before that $1250....

I saw this - compared to the $1275 for 15 packs of cards - it seems like a pretty good deal!

An Ames variant alone just went for $1050 - but this sale seemed a little fishy as there were just 2 bidders, with the last bid on 9/11.

To me, $1750 still seems high, but what do I know.

yah... I'd calculate a overlay of maybe $300- 400? Market would say $1400 or so would be fair?

$'s no object. pay the premium. if i was the seller and no attachment/ 50 point minimum profit i'd be happy with $1400 or $1500?

crazy how these go up. $1500 for these three you shouldn't stand to lose much in the medium term. my guess anyway.

card market is nuts. $400+ for a set. was in the sports card market in the 90's. i just can't personally justify value on cards any more. posters are art to be displayed, cards are just small pieces of cardboard to me. ;)

Agreed, love PJ posters as art - need more wall space! I was lucky enough to be able to trade cards to make a complete set, though, and I love them, too! ;)

I completely agree with you, I also grew up in the 90s (duh most of us did) and I have a whole closest full of cards and comics that aren't worth anything. I tried to sell my entire comic collection of over 300 comics to a local shop and he wouldn't even take them for free. Said all the memorabilia from the 90s was so mass produced that it has no value anymore. Our only hopes is that some people start throwing cards and comics and the market returns. I don't see it happening though.
I also don't get all the insanity over the cards. In my opinion they are mostly ugly as hell and don't see the point. However, at the show I did think they were the coolest merch I saw at the time. Had I know that I could have spent $75 on silly cards and sold them for $1275, you would have seen me flipping the ever loving shit out of them!
