    Most people, I think, will find this to be total bullshit...but I do believe dogs have an intrinsic sense of belonging to a pack which is formed by their new found human companions, and the protective instincts therein. I have owned Rottweilers, and still do and have witnesed their protective abilities on many, sometimes scary, levels. I do think they, (all dogs) opperate very well with a different set of senses which are different/superior to our own....go dogs :o
