First off the Intro is completely haunting.....

Then the lyrics....and the way Ed sings them. Seriously. That's my life everyday. Don't know about y'all, but...

Thank you to the guys for this song and every song....just thanks for riding the wave and letting us GO WITH...

Love love love let me run into the rain...
take the reigns and
steer us towards the clear here
I know it's already been sung
but it can't be said enough
ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE

Amazing song. My third fave behind Release and Present Tense.

How I choose to feel,... Is how I am.

I listened to this the other day and was mesmerized. I think this song has grown on me more than any other during the last few years. I would like to hear it as an opening song (I know this has happened just a few times).

I was actually thinking about a sentence that I couldn't get my head around and that was "not to shut doors on the past", which I always thought was a peculair line. (Why "shut" not "closed" etc.) Until I read an interview yesterday of Stephen King of all people ( I actually think he is a good writer, underestimated, so don't burn me) and he was talking about his sobrierity and AA. And supposedly "not to shut doors on the past" is a line used in the twelve step program. ( I didn't know that.) This made me listen to the song again and all of the sudden this song got a complete different meaning to me. "How I choose to feel, is how I am..." etc. "Let me run into the rain, to shine/be a human light again/today", "Life comes from within your heart and desire" etc. etc. etc. If you connect this with the first song ("Life Wasted") and the outro of the song, (once again keyboards) it seems like everything gets connected.

For all clarity, I am not stating that this song is about sobrierity, but if you take this information and listen again, your whole perspective of the song changes. And I have to say, from this light, these are some very strong lyrics. Stronger than I suspected.
