My friend declared
YOU ARE NOT LISTENING
I have cancer!
and the raccoons have come
to claim the plums
snapping, flashing pictures
to capture the moment
our winter stores have been taken at the fall
bears will be next
as the raccoon forewarns
the harvest if not taken by man
will be taken by the animals
