I need new ones. Since there seems to be a bunch of audiophiles around here I am seeking recommendations. I have been using these: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR-ED21LP-Fontopia-In-The-Ear-Headphones/dp/B000094Q77 for ages but SONY decided to discontinue them a while back. They might look like cheap shits but I can assure you they are amazing, and that seller shouldn't be allowed to sell them for that price (they used to be around $30).

I kept my last pair alive by purchasing the newer replacement model of those headphones and using the earbud plastic thingamajig from those to replace the one on my older model. This is the newer model: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR-ED12LP-SLV-Earbuds-Silver/dp/B0015AM38Q/ref=pd_sim_e_1 It sounds like shit.

I've gone through a handful of other Sony and Panasonic headphones. I'm not really careful with my shit so I've put off spending money on a good set of headphones until now. I've been looking at Amazon for a couple hours but there is just way too much to go through. I read reviews and descriptions and I'm just completely lost. Anyone got any recommendations? I can't do the big headphones even though I understand those are better than the in the ear kind. I'm on the move all day I can't be carrying those things around in addition to all my shit you know?

Thanks in advance

Just get the "Beats" headphones like all the kids are wearing and you'll fit right in.
Just be sure to pick a crazy color and wear them around your neck when your not listening to anything.

Hear are my two pairs (the in ears are for working out and the over ears are for home and plane use). I highly recommend both.

Btw Bose were $300 and they are bulky. The Klipsh I got on sale for $40(!!!!) and they are well worth the $70 list price I usually see and is on Amazon right now. They are MUCH better than the Bose in ear ones.

I have some "Beats" studio headphones and they are incredible!
Cleans up Mp3 to sound like Flac.

I hook them up to my amp and listen to my Pro-Ject 2 turntable and
it is a thing of beauty.... :o

Cost to quality you might be able to do better but
I bought them from Costco.I knew I could take back no worries and I didn't!

    Blam!
    Next level headphones.....

    It is later. THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.

Obviously I didn't listen to this advice right away and I damn well should have. Since this thread I've gone through a pair of Sony XBA something, a pair of Sennheisers, every pair of monoprice headphones and something else that I can't even remember. They all sounded like shit and drove me nuts. I finally decided to stop wasting time and money and go back into B&H today and let one of the sales people actually sell me something. When I saw the Grado igi's on the shelf I grabbed them but I was hesitant in buying them cuz there's NO information on the box. Like at all. Even inside there's nothing explaining the 90 different earbud tips they give you. But the guy let me try a pair of Shure's which I'm SO GLAD I didn't order. Those things are too weird for my ears. Anyway he also let me sneak a listen to the grado's even though i wasn't really supposed to but I wound up buying them cuz the sound was nuts. I put them on for the ride home because I was too excited for patience and HOLY HELL. I had been listening to the kind of music for which quality doesn't matter much, so I thew on Hartford 2013... the into to Long Road blew me away. They sound so good it's almost dangerous to be walking in the street with them. I was waiting for light during betterman and I got completely lost in it - damn near started singing in the street. Yea yea yeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaa

    HOORAY GRADO!
