Things to do in Northeast USA

Hello to the North east.

I have tickets to the Worcester show on October 15 and will be driving down from Montreal, where my girlfriend currently is. We are looking to spend the (Canadian) thanksgiving weekend somewhere in the northeast, within about a 5 hour dive of Montreal.

does anybody have any suggestions of things to do/places to stay in that general region. Obviously Boston is close but is there anything else that we should do? Mostly looking for fun things for a couple in their 20s to do, so as exciting as museums and old churches can be i'd like to keep them to a minimum.

It will be almost peak foliage season around that time, so taking a drive through the Berkshires (an hour west) is a great idea.

Worcester itself is not all that exciting. There are some great restaurants and bars, but not a ton to do during the day. Nearby are lots of parks for hiking, golf courses, farms for apple picking, etc. It really depends on what kind of activities you want to do.

Also, as obvious as it sounds: there's a ton of stuff to do in and around Boston. Boston is less than an hour from Worcester.

I only go up there for the skiing... But if you are visiting in the summer, I see no reason to go skiing
