Dude needs to deal with it. It's how the system is built. If he doesn't like it he should move.

What a dick
I'm not really a fan of whiny, entitled, and passive-aggressive statements like this. He's not trying to make it harder by paying in ones? That's crap. He cash payment deserves special attention and way more time to process by the government employees there, and then his statement that he wants everyone else to do the same. Okay, let me be a dick and make others work harder for me. He's wondering why they wouldn't process payments there? My guess would be that it's more efficient to have it done in a central location, and also have fewer hands in the mix to avoid theft. He wants to whine about public schools and do nothing about it except fantasize in his head about applying the free market to public education. I wonder if he ever went to public school and how he figures that got paid for?
It may be so ... but he has a right to protest and this was his form of protest and the $1 bill is legal tender. As for public education ... it's a joke, especially how they get money and spend the money. A recent article a while back I read about the larger cities (mostly Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver) in which the reporter brought up the fact that these cities have become so expensive to buy homes that 2-3 families will buy a house together so they can afford the house with 7-8 kids (give or take), yet they are paying the same school taxes as their neighbour who is 1 family in dwelling. The point of the article was education and property taxes were meant for 1 family in dwelling, which is why many municipalities require permits and registration if you have a rental unit and will be taxed higher. I am in favour of education taxes being applied per child, not dwelling.
And sorry some of us know that our tax $$$ are being pissed away.

educating people > killing people
I don't know about you, but where I live there was a bus strike a few years ago. Traffic and parking became insane because there were so many more cars on the road. So even though I don't use public transportation I don't mind paying for it because I see a benefit.
Same with schools. My kids aren't school aged yet, but making sure that schools have funding and can stay open decreases the chance of be being robbed by someone in the future because they didn't have access to an education.
