Hello there! A friend of mine went to a karaoke bar in Liverpool and recorded 10 seconds of a song that somebody sang (then his battery died). He cannot identify the song himself, and asked me for help Sooo ...
Can anybody help? I'm still trying to figure out the lyrics
I think I might hear something like this, but I'm not sure ...
I had so many nights/Saturday night someone in hell/ heaven
I proved ...?!?
Thank you all

Please, Pearl Jam, consider a Benaroya Hall vinyl reissue!

Maye the people from the UK can help out when they are out of bed...
Search results lead me to a John Phillips song called Fairy Tale Girl (Somewhere near Japan), but iTunes only gives me a little clip...so not sure.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but in all fairness, not much to work with!
If you find out, please let me know, because it is killing me!

I'm so sorry to make you all buzzing! It is killing me too! That was quite a good lead with John Philipps, but I think it's not it. I posted it on my facebook wall as well, I'll let you know if somebody finds out!
Could he be singing "I hate standin in line..."?
We have to find out what this is!!!
But I have to go to bed now - damn job!

Have a great weekend
I wanna know too I am impressed.
After a few plays, I noticed at 4 seconds the DJ gestures the searching signal (hand over brow) while mouthing "somewhere".
Now I had, "Alright, saw on the mine, somewhere in here"
A few more plays I noticed he then starts off the song holding up one finger so a decided "alright" was two words, first word either being 'one or 'a', giving: "A/One ?lright?, saw on the mine, somewhere in here"
Then after trying to read his lips, I looked in the upper right and saw the reflection of the lyric scroll in the mirror. The word turned from yellow to red right at the first seconds and I could make out the word "light" backwards also, the word on the far left is a skinny tall letter then a circular letter so I figured it was "in" rather than "on". Since there was little emphasis on the first word I decided it was 'a' rather than 'one'. Now I'm at, "A light, saw in the mine, somewhere in here.
Google was still no help at this point
Then I thought of verbs for what lights do and they either shine, shined, or shines, but none of those fit with what he was saying but I was determined it had to be something to do with shining. Then I moved on to the latter half of the lyric and thought, What rhymes with light and when would you shine a light? After some thinking 'night' came to me and confirmed it with the mirrored lyric scroll which vaguely resembled 'night' and lit up when he sang the N syllable. Now I'm at, "A light, shine/shines/shined in the night, somewhere in here."
Now I'm back to the 'shine' issue, and in my head i'm thinking it's none of those....none, none/shine, shine/none....SHONE. I forgot all about shone. "A light, shone in the night. Somewhere in here."
Finally Google helped with the rest by autocompleting the search with "A light, shone in the night somewhere ahead."
