I'm just going to buy Calgary tickets off stubhub. Watching 5 minute videos for 1 point each 75 times is a pain in the ass.
I know global citizen is for a good cause and everything, but u really don't have to watch the videos....u can just fast forward till there's like 3 seconds left and let it play out and u still get the points

well that's pretty dumb. what's the point then? hoping that 1 person out of 1000 actually watches them? I understand it's a good way to get people involved, but they shouldn't allow shortcuts to the freebies.

I was fortunate to get the Oklahoma City pair and am excited to see a new city this tour
Just curious do you get to know your seats in advance and do they mail you actual tickets
I was fortunate to win the London, ON show with 100 pts but it now. t like 10C. My name was on the guest list and I got tickets at Will Call on day of. I found out my seats only then. I was Stone's side, closest section to the stage, about 8 rows up. No complaints. Great seats!

It says thy are released sporadically. I just happened to be in the okc one when it went green to buy. The faq's on the tickets page explains the difference and gives details for the draws as opposed to the buys.

Thanks so much OP for mentioning this. I just entered the max for the OKC show (5 entries), the max on the NIN St. Louis show (which I already have floor seats for) and The Lumineers show also in St. Louis. I never win anything and if I had to choose I would still take the Wrigley Ames Variant giveaway that is being done by 3days. That is the best $40 I could ever spend on entries to anything!

yeah that's what i did.. looked up for TED videos and petitions to sign, cos they are 4 or more points each.. reached 100 in no time! but sadly the one Brooklyn date that i wanted was already gone.. have entered drawings but not really holding my breath!

I actually watch them and read all related material and tweet and Facebook some of it because I'd feel like a complete opportunistic asshole if I didn't, and these are some meaningful issues that everyone should be concerned about. There is a noble cause here, and people should take that seriously, rather than just being scroungers for concert tickets. I hope enough people actually give a shit about something other than themselves for this program to be worthwhile.

I completely agree with you. The videos I watched were very informative and very well done. I was deeply touched by many of the speeches and realized how fortunate we are here in the US. I hope everyone will take a bit of time to really hear the message delivered and wish you all good luck in the upcoming drawings. I joined in 2012 and check in from time to time to see what's going on. Pearl Jam tickets were just the icing on the cake for me.

I'm a bit confused after reading this, was the "Buy It Now" available for many/any of these shows last Thursday, or are they being released sporadically? I am interested in Calgary specifically and did not get a "Buy It Now" the other day so I thought I had missed out.

My roommate just secured the October 16, 2013, DCU Center, Worcester, MA tickets! Don't know why or how they were available that very moment but I believe they are his. Just waiting on the reply to the "Congratulations" email.
Now to figure out how 2 Iowans will be making the trek out there!
I just won Pearl Jam Oakland Tickets. Will call. They will send more info soon. Anyone been to a show with tickets they won in the drawing? Where were your seats?

But you will probably get an email providing instructions. You will be a guest of the band/curtis entertainment and wont be able to pick up tickets until the doors open (was 6:30 for Pitt). You need a photo ID.
The seats were primo. I was on Stone's side in the seats, right off the corner of the stage, 5 rows up (which were level with the band). Arguably the best seats possible.

Sweet!! What were there, 10 prizes per show? I thought I read that somewhere but that might just be wishful thinking, since that seems like pretty good odds for a show like Spokane. How many people could have entered?? Are there THAT many people on top of this program, considering it's so new for PJ?

I'm coming from Winnipeg and doing the last three shows of the tour. Calgary will be my 40th show and I got an email from Globabl Citizen yesterday saying I have won tickets! It sounds like these have been pretty good seats?
