    Mudhoney twice in 2011 was enough. Good band and all and makes sense in the Pacific NW. Would have more interest in someone new.

    Guitarist Eric Pulido is the lead singer now. Tim has formed a new band called Harp.

    Hey would any midlake fans like to give a brief summary of the difference of occupanther vs. courage of others albums? Ive got some itunes credit that i'd like to purchase one of those two albums. If one is particularly darker or more out there thatd be good to know. Thanks!

    I'll be honest, I've only heard a couple tracks off 'Courage of Others' and I just lost interest, but Van Occupanther is one of my favorite albums of the last 10 years, so damn good. I remember checking it out from the library and not thinking much of it upon first listen, but holy hell it grew on me and became an instant classic. The lyrics paint this weird narrative of starting out in the woods, catching animals, robbers, days "full of honest work", giants, etc. The music has this 70's rock vibe- it can really groove at times, yet can take a turn and mellow out in an instant. When autumn comes rollin' around, I always start listening to this record.

    I'm sure there is a bigger Midlake fan out who can give you a better review of 'Courage', but I'm casting my vote for 'Occupanther'. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
