I can feel your happiness
I can feel your fears
I can fell the loneliness
you’ve been sleeping with all these years.

I can feel the fire
I can feel the pain inside
I can feel the anger that’s in your heart that makes you go insane.

You tell me that you know me
You say that I’m to blame
For all the pain that’s in your heart
And I’m the reason that you’re insane.

You say you can’t go out at night
That the darkness brings your fears
Well I can see the full moon in your eye’s
As we toast to the lonely years.

You tell me that you want me
And I’m the one to blame
But like a wolf howling into the night
I can see that you’re insane.

So don’t tell me that you love me
I can see the full moon in your eye’s
And I can feel the fire
I can feel the pain
And I can see the lies that are driving you insane.

You tell me that you know me
And the darkness brings your fears
Well now I’ve got to leave this place
And all those lonely years.

You tell me that you know me.

  • Hey, we need the darkness as much as we need the light :)

I sometimes write angry/ resentful/accusatory poems-- when that's not how I feel at all :) my nickname was Smiley for most of my life. I'm generally happy and content :)
However-not to sound schizo-- but as writers ( or others creative types) we all have feeling inside of us that need to come out. When I write it- it's gone :) but sometimes our sadness or confusion about/ betrayals/abuses of faith or confidential info/misinterpretations and a slew of other " dark" stuff needs to be said - and buried. :)

no doubt, and sometimes I see or meet people and then when I write I try and imagine what they might be thinking and create a story about that person and I'm sure my thoughts and writing are often fiction compared to their true thoughts and feelings but it's fun just the same. :D

  • your imagination has free reign, use it to your advantage and enjoy it,
as a writer, role playing/mind reading are great tools. ;P

    a song is building here
for poetry through the ceiling. ISBN: 1 4241 8840 7

    "Hear me, my chiefs!
I am tired; my heart is
    sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
    no more forever."
