  • There was a Republican governor whom battled and fought against Big Oil , in an effort that was very successful and valiant! An effort that was noticed by many and surprised many, and even Democrats loved her.......until John McCain picked her to be his VP to run against their savior! Then she was the worst person for sure just because Obama was the Messiah and noone would get in the way!
Theres no time like the present

A man that stands for nothing....will fall for anything!

i recently talk to someone working for the federal gov't and he said ... he's never seen in his entire time there so much policy being pushed through that not only is not debated in the house but is so short-term in thinking ...

it's like you live in a family and the dad decides all of a sudden to take all the savings plus remortgaging the house and then maxing out a line of credit so he can take his family to fiji for 6 months ...

the tar sands is the sight of the worlds greatest environmental blight and the people are being played with lies and dollars ... that quote from neil young is perfect ... "you can pay a guy to dig a hole so big - he can't get out of it, that's a job too" ...

Isn't everything the gov't does is with short-term in mind? If they really thought long-term, things would be quite different...

most definitely ... but we have policy, regulations and tax code that is geared towards long term thinking ... it's just that this particular gov't is willing to sacrifice the future in the interests of making their friends happy at a more alarming rate than any other gov't in our past ...

    i would disagree ...

the depths of shadiness associated with big oil is not fully realized by the public at large ...

but it should be realized as it only takes a living breathing mind to realize the corruption, pollution & nastiness of big oil & other big businesses

i wish it would change. i wish we all could park our cars for a few months. again, the common folks have all the power in the world but we do not realize this concept or we do not care & we are herded around like mindless sheep
