So What new songs will become rarities?

After they are done with there tour for the new album, what songs will we not be hearing for a while?

I hope they keep most of them in rotation but we all know they tend to leave songs behind. I hope I'm wrong but I'd bet the only songs to stay in rotation are: WWS,Severed Hand,Life Wasted(w/the reprise),Comatose, and Gone. I think most of the rest will fall by the wayside and in a couple of years everyone will be bitching about them not playing Come Back or Parachutes, or whatever else.

I could be wrong tho I think this is the first album since VS that they have played every song from the album live on the tour following its release so who knows.Hopefully they will keep MITS around anyway.

What do you think?

    I think Parachutes will be a Rarity. I feel fortunate to have heard in once in 5 shows this tour.

    I think Inside Job will be a rarity in the future. They only played it a handful of times in Europe. I'm sure Life Wasted will be a staple in the future.

    I don't see Gone, Parachutes and Army reserve much played in the future

    Army Resreve,Parachutes,Big Wave...will be rare

    Life Wasted,WWS,Comatose,Inside Job will be somewhat regular.

    Unemployable will definitely end up a rarity, Parachuts as well- it almost is already. I thought Inside Job got lots of play In Europe and I see that sticking around longer than I see Life Wasted or Marker. Big Wave should become a rarity. It's a fun little song, but it's not exactly a great one.

    I have a feeling that Unemployable and Army Reserve (for me the two best songs other than Inside Job on the record) will become rarities. And not because they are not popular oir that the band dont enjoy playing them. I thinks it will be BECAUSE they are great songs. So it becomes an absolute pleasure to hear them live...

    They will become the next In Hidings, Present Tenses... etc

    Hard to say know, because I never thought that Light years, Thin Air, God's Dice become rarities - and they did on this tour. Same with most Riot Act songs - no Ghost, Can't keep even LBC, Save you are I am mine have been very rare.
    So I think not many songs of the PJ Album will be heard live very often in the future.

    love big wave, unemployable, gone, i was amazed how good parachutes turned out to be live!

    Come Back and Parachutes, I was impressed with the live version of Come Back so I don't hope it will become a rarity, I like Big Wave live too.

    They didn't play Big Wave much in Europe so I'm thinking that one. Also I think Army Reserve might be limited to just a few shows.

    They played it about as much as they did on Leg 2 and it didn't get played at all on the first leg. Surprisingly "Gone" was the least played Avo song with only 3 goes on the Euro tour.

    Inside Job was played quite often (once every 3 shows actually)..including as an opener where it works very well imho.

    Based on the frequency in the European tour:
    Parachutes will be rarity (good, sorry but I've never warmed to it, even live) as will Army Reserve and Unemployable. Lets face it, they're not as good.

    Gone, Big Wave (I really like it live), Marker in the Sand, Come Back will be somewhat rare..4-5 times per leg maybe.

    Inside Job, WWS, Comatose, Life Wasted and Severed Hand will be regulars.

    WWS was played EVER single show (along with Alive and Even Flow). I like the song but every show? I hope it doesn't stick.

    stats are there btw..I'm not anal enough to compile those myself.

    Ah, well I was going by a stats page that obviously left out one of those shows then.

    You do need to take back what you said about Army Reserve. What's not to love about that song?

    I could see Comatose ending up a STBC/Blood level rarity. Severed Hand would rightfully belong at any show anytime. I'd love to hear them try an acoustic version at Bridge.

    These are a bit off as well... 4 ticks for Army Reserve for example but then it goes on to say 3x out of 23. I'm amazed Corduroy was dropped 4 times this tour. That's progress!!

    nothing against Army Reserve except that it looks like it will become rarity. it's not bad but not on par with Life Wasted, Comatose or Severed Hand.

    And the ticks are right in the stats if the numbers are not (not mine, don't care much)
