This is just g'bye for now...
Thats not true, lots of bands are headlining festivals this year (radiohead, Morrissey) plus bands who've headlined Leeds and Reading in the past and done UK tours the same year.
Sorry, maybe PJ just think if they do a festival the fans will all come to see them there.
If so, it's usually a 3-month deal. Not a whole fuckin year.
If we show them a great time in Dublin and at Reading/Leeds and in the rest of Europe, they'll WANT to come back and finish Europe properly next year...if we're dull they'll just stay home.
So lets show them how much we need them!!
And cross those legs!
I'm discarding all thought
I'll dry up, leaving puddles on the ground
I'm like an opening band for the sun
14/09/06, 16/09/06, 17/09/06, 19/09/06, 20/09/06 ~ The Stone lookalike leg of the 2006 tour
18/06/07 - Amazing, just amazing
04/07/06 ~Proud to be part of the AIC Astoria Crew~
Rockin' out to Creadles
Begs the question why they bothered playing festivals. I know I know...Who am I to say where the band should and shouldn't play. I just don't buy this contract thing. Would PJ really have agreed to this? I personally think its the new label wanting them to get their music to a broader audience through a Festival appearance.
Too difficult for too many people
but sometimes it's more complex behind the sences then we realise !
Dublin and Reading i'm happy with and then getting to see them next year too
well thats just fucking ACE instead of waiting another 6 years !

yeah...live through the rain man :-)
Manchester - 4/6/2000
London - 20/4/2006
Dublin - 23/8/2006
London - 18/6/2007
New York City - 24/6/2008
New York City - 25/6/2008 - we will be "what is up" New York
Manchester - 18/8/2009
London - 18/6/2018
But after Astoria, Dublin and Reading I think I'll cope if they don't
Dublin - August 23rd 2006
Reading - August 27th 2006
Wembley - June 18th 2007
Maybe a full UK tour with all of the usual places thrown in??
If thats true then fucking hell no show for 6 years then three trips to the UK over space of 10 months!
My two pence: Uk hasn't been 4gotten. They'll be back!!
Just wanting to settle this now.
Muse (the other headline act for Leeds/Reading) have just announced a show on the 24th of August in Edinburgh, so this talk about the band having a 'contract' to not play anymore UK dates this year is probably rubbish.
even though i hate their new song with a passion, i fuckin love muse
when do tix go on sale?
aaarg
i'll have to content myself with the 3 shows i've seen which were epicly epic
