I was reading this and wondered if this could be the birth of a new sun......off the wall thought

Godfather.

Imagine if you got a full night's sleep or completed a single workday to discover an entire year just flew by? Researchers at MIT found an Earth-sized exoplanet that spins around its host star in a mere 8.5 hours, completing a year's worth of activity.

In comparison, it takes our planet roughly 8765.81 hours, or 365 days, to orbit the sun.

"We've gotten used to planets having orbits of a few days," an associate professor of physics at MIT Josh Winn said in a press release. "But we wondered, what about a few hours? Is that even possible? And sure enough, there are some out there."

What do you mean birth of a new sun?

The star already exists. Or do you mean sun as in a star that has a planet that has potential for life or something?

Maybe Godfather means "New discovery of an hyperactive sun"?
“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

yes, the temp on that planet is aprox 5000 degrees f. I think and is thought to be a big blob moltin rock and stuff
so I was wondering could it grow in mass and with the constant heat and moltin rock could it create the gas needed to ignite or burn like our sun in say...a million years ? I know little to zip about this stuff but the thought of it after reading the artical had crossed my mind so don't put too much into it.
