LA guided tours?

Anyone have any thoughts on taking guided tours in LA?

We are going to be there for the two days of the shows only and we will not have a car. I was thinking taking a tour would be a good way to see the things I want to see and not have to worry about figuring out how to get from place to place.

Here are a few I was looking at:

What I like about this one is that it will pick us up at our hotel and we get out to Venice Beach as well as around downtown and Hollywood. Kind of pricey though.

There was another walking tour I was looking at for downtown LA but now the website seems to have fallen apart so it might not be an option.

There's also the Starline hop on hop off buses that would get us around, but the amount of time it would take to get from place to place might not be worthwhile.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Snagging for ideas as well. My travel buddy ketray2412 & I arrive in LA early on the 21st so we have a couple of days to look around. I did Disneyland etc when I was 12 & not so much into that sort of stuff but a tour might be good so I'm keen to see any recommendations. :)
