I remember exactly where I was when I heard about his passing.

Strange how you remember things like that.

i was thinking the other day how i wish i knew when he went away from us. for three months or so i was in a bad bad place & had no clue what was going on with myself or anyone or anything else. guess i was mr. auto pilot. the dark & twisting well of a hole sucks way down deep, an instant tornado pulling the curtains closed. on come the tears

    Hey, bud.

Layne's voice is one of the most beautiful and pure I've heard. Unplugged gets me every time - his frailty and determination. And again, that voice.

His death came about a week after my guy moved in with me from the opposite side of the country. Such sadness for that loss within the excitement of a new life we were starting together.

Definitely check out the most recent AIC; Cantrell too is something else.

(and I hear you with "on come the tears" - those associations now ingrained. After my father died, mine was Man of the Hour. Always will be, but now I smile.)

I have so many great memories that involve Layne's music. He'll forever be missed.

For me, pearl jam was #1 and AIC was a very close second.
