A funny tale...

...started a new gig a few weeks ago...lots of desk work - office is quiet as hell.
Brought my iPod to work, HEADPHONES - been playing tunes daily...
Yesterday, I get an email, from the VP of OPS - who is a whole desk with shelving separated from me - 12 feet easy -
Please lower your tunes or use headphones - thanks!
To which I reply LOL - headphones are on, sorry I'll lower it
He comes over to my desk and tells me I'm gonna blow my eardrums out if I crank Eddie Vedder that loud...I explain he is correct about the Eddie Vedder part (Mansfield 03 show) - we laugh...turns out not only were we at the same show in Vegas in 1993 (11/30), BUT we are both going to be at the same San Diego show in November!!!

The "boss" has been to over a dozen shows and is a diehard...so great - I dig my gig that much more. :lol:
He asked how many shows I'd been to, which ones - then figured he saw my car in the lot with the PJ20 sticker in the back...LOL
What a great world and small one too...
I never would have pegged the guy...
PS - he shit himself when I told him I had GA on the floor - he's in the bleeders (which are still great) - and was trying to see how he could get my wifes ticket :)

    nice. There's a few people in the office that I know of that love pearl jam.

    One dude has the entire 2003 CD Set
    Another (Exec) has a WEEI Pearl Jam Sticker at his desk
    and one lady that I'm really good friends with has been in the fan club forever. Her first show (I think) was the San Fran Neil Young Show.

    We always IM about the band and I throw in subtle references within business emails.

    OMG! Greatest day this year was finding someone (who actually worked for me for a bit) who is a bigger freak than I am :lol:
