My dad was at this show. Recently found his original ticket stubs plus a poster he bought there. Very cool stuff. I used to pester him all the time for Woodstock stories, I loved hearing about his experience there!

Woodstock was OK, but it pales in comparison to the superior Woodstock '94, and especially the near-perfect Woodstock '99. Perhaps if Oleander, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Creed and Kid Rock had been at the original it would have been a truly timeless show, but as it stands it's just a pretty good movie about naked hippies.

It's one of the bonus videos on the director's cut. Wish it had made it into the move. Lots of other cool stuff on there too: The Who My Generation, Canned Heat On the Road Again, Grateful Dead Turn on Your Love Light, Paul Butterfield Morning Sunrise. And many more! as they say.

The 40th anniversary "ultimate collector's edition" has Canned Heat Woodstock Boogie, The Who Sparks, and Jimi Hendrix Spanish Castle Magic.

Now I am thinking about watching this tonight.

    Very Cool.

Get them insured and framed, very very nice. Those stories would be awesome to hear around a camp fire. 8-) :corn: 8-)

One of the most beautiful things that can happen to a human being is to understand that you have an infinite potential and thus your life is a journey to develop yourself and to fulfill most of your potential. In the 60's this notion was widely accepted by youngsters. So, they tried to opened up and develop themselves. They tried new ideas and confront old ones. One example was nudity and our embarrassment from our own body. Why do we need to be embarrassed about our own bodies?

Here we can see a scene from the documentary film "Woodstock - 3 Days of Peace And love" about their attempt to confront this embarrassment in order to get more control of their lives and more freedom to decide what do they want to do with no arbitrary limitations and norms from the society.

What about you? Are you free to decide what you want to do with no arbitrary limitations and norms from society? And if not, are you trying to gain more control over your life?

This song is asking: Can we teach our children in a better way than what our parents did with us?
I think that the answer is to teach our children according to these beautiful values, and to steak with these values! Enjoy!

The Who @ Woodstock = Epic.
The Who - Full - Audio Only
Some of the artists who played at Woodstock had their complete performances released as part of the box set The Woodstock Experience. Pete Townshend didn't want The Who's performance included because he thought it was an inferior one. Crazy, especially since he's acknowledged that it was a huge turning point in the band's career.
