GA question

So I've got GA for the SD and Phoenix shows and have never been in GA before for any concert of any band. What should I expect? Elbow to elbow? Packed body to body? Just curious as I don't want to feel like I'm suffocating haha..
Thanks for any feedback!

First of all, GA is smaller.
Second, GA is made up primarily of 10C members.
Third, the PJ fanbase has matured.
Result...more chill GA's.
Wrigley was very chill overall.
The only issue I had was a drunk South American after the storm who kept pushing (we were on the rail).
After repeated warnings, I blasted him in the chest. Apparently that was what he needed as he was never seen after that.
Have fun in GA!

The first night we started like 6 people back from Mike.. It was very hairy at first. I was just trying to shelter my wife from some asshole hitting into her.. After about 5 songs, it all settled down a bit.. the people who wanted to rush the front already had and everyone kind of settled into their own spot.. The energy was real good, and I think when the lights came on we were only like 8 or 9 people back from the rail.. we were exhausted and covered in sweat and it was AWESOME!
Night 2, we decided to just hang back.. we were like 25 or 30 people back from the rail, keeping all of the initial craziness well in front of us.. We had an awesome group of people around us, and it was simply just an amazing time!! We were all singing and dancing, and nobody was bumping or pushing us!! I like night 2 much better
I think we do something similar for the Philly shows this year.. What I think is cool about GA is that if you want to dance and sing with a group of others, you can look around and find where the party is at and walk over there!! If the people around you are lame, come find us! we will have a blast!!

I don't expect it will be bad at all.
oh yeah...and the newbs that want to bring the 90s mosh pits back.
kidding.
kind of.
This is how I felt at a NIN show just a few years ago. I am a 6'3 200lb male and I was getting pushed around pretty rough. I felt really bad and helped a few girls who needed to get out of the pit.

Thanks for all the feedback people. Much appreciated.
PS: the only challenge for a superb view can be your height, but then again PJ Security is always tight and it should be space to move a bit further back in the "pit"
what's a bean girl?
I'm a wee bit nervous about GA to be honest. I'm short, so getting a spot where I can see the band on stage is tricky. I don't want to be in the crush of the front row, but I also don't want to be stuck unable to see over the heads of a bunch of dudes who are a full foot taller than me. Not sure how I'm gonna play it by the time October comes around, but I definitely won't be able to be waiting on a GA line for many hours in the morning.

Stay away from the middle .Right infront of Eddie it can get bumpy.
Stones is side is more relaxed.
That's my experience from the last tour 2012.
Dead on, my friend!
First Show was 1995
I've lost count of how many afterwards.
Memorable funny show moments: The Halloween show with the whole band dressed as The Villiage People including Mike in assless chaps doing Yellow Ledbetter; Ed forgetting the words to "Betterman" in Vegas.
Ed looking upwards at the the giant cables coming to the center in old Forum (circular building) in LA and saying it looked like the worlds biggest asshole, just like Dick Cheney. :-)
