Probably one of the most talented bands out there. Each album gets better and better.
Live show of theirs is amazing. Thoughts ?

  • So you're saying I should check them out (never heard of them until recently) at the Uproar Festival in San Diego in September (Alice In Chains, Jane's Addiction, C&C...)???

I will have to check out your link at the very least.

    Yes
But you have to have an open mind with them. Best energetic live show

If you are going to uproar in september then you will get to see 2 of the greatest live acts around
and I'm not talking about janes addiction and Alice and chains. Circa Survive and Coheed and Cambria
are absolutely amazing. They both headline clubs that hold about 3000 people, but their audience
it growing. Thats why they decided to do uproar.

With that said, they are 2 of my favorite bands. Coheed and Cambria are some of the most
technically gifted musicians in the world today. I've converted a few people on here who
will actually give them a chance.

Circa Survive, I had never heard of them till they opened for coheed, and holy crap they
can bring it. Lead singer anthony green is almost as good as claudio sanchez from coheed.

I highly recommend you check some of their stuff out.

I'll be seeing C&C for the third time on Tuesday. I have nothing but positive things to say about their live show. Unfortunately I have never gotten around to listening to their recorded material.

Nice. I will make sure I check them out. I opted for the Pit passes so my wife and I have our work cut out for us! The other band that's billed 3rd (behind AIC and JA but in front of C&C and CS) that hasn't been mentioned yet is Avenge Sevenfold? What about them? Thanks for the info.

Nevermind...they headline Saturday's show. The other 4 bands are all on Sunday (the show I'm going to).

I just saw on Uproar's facebook page that from here through the rest of the Uproar tour, Coheed and Cambria will be at their tent from 5:00 - 5:30 signing stuff. Thats new from the first four shows, and really cool.

    Just an FYI about Uproar:

Really had a nice time at the two Uproar shows I went to with my daughters (who are huge AIC fans). We did the pit and got the rail in Scranton and sat about 5 rows from the stage in Saratoga last night... as the OP says, Circa Survive and Coheed and Cambria are great live acts laden with musical skills and stage presence - for about $70 (tm plus fees) you get a chance to see them both plus Jane's (who was MUCH better in Saratoga last night) and AIC... and thats just the main stage. Walking Papers and Dead Daisies are killer bands that headline the secondary stages earlier in the day.

If you feel like meeting/greeting with bands (other than the big boys) then its a great ticket. We were literally bumping into some of the musicians while we walked the grounds at both dates.

And I thought this was cool... Schechter guitars has a booth as well, and if you buy one of their guitars you get upgraded to a pit ticket plus you get a backstage tour and something else that eludes me... I think its $250 for the guitar/upgrade package. Not a bad deal (I think the guitar they're selling goes for about $200 on musiciansfriend.com).

Coheed and Cambria are really entertaining, though... great band. :)

On paper I should love this band. It's funny you say they get better every album, b/c their first album is the only one I can listen to all the way through.
