I hope not too. It's too slow and droning to be a closer in my opinion. I think it is a bit of a momentum-killing song despite Mike's soloing on it. It struggles when it is played on the radio amidst other more "upbeat" music too.

Love the song, but not as a closer. I wouldn't mind it as an opener.

Nah! It's a brilliant song which I'd love to hear live but it doesn't sit well in a setlist. Even though I love it I still think it's a little overrated. I love putting Binaural on and hearing the studio version where it sounds at it's best.... :)

This brings up and interesting topic. What could they replace the standard closing songs with?

I don't think NAIS is one if them.

would be cool to see them end with BLOOD

I wouldn't choose NAIS myself. I wish they'd go back to Indifference to close out the concerts. My other choices would be:

NAIS would be a great opener, or encore 1 opener.

Not a closer, although I'll take NAIS over RITFW or yellow led any day!

There's a thread about what song should be taken out of the regular rotation. My vote, without hesitation, is Yellow Ledbetter.

And I believe the band should always leave you with a Pearl Jam song being the last song you hear at their concerts.

Yea, I'm with you on that one. I think I'd leave the show pretty bummed out!

-1. I would be OK with YL as a closer every time. It's like a lullaby and I love Mike's extended solos and the rest of the guys just hanging out watching him, talking and laughing and having fun.

I hope not. I love the song, but I just don't think it's suitable as a closer.

    God no!

But I like your train of thought. Anything and I mean anything but YL. And RITFW too. So over these!

I would happy If they would just play the song more often.

Anyway to get that to happen is the right answer.

It can be a setlist dragger, or momentum killer...

But opening an encore with it might be awesome :)

    Play it more pretty please!

I'm not a fan of OTE. To me it's rambling without any direction.
