what I find terribly funny about this thread is that you came out and admitted you were stupid!

    :fp:

If I had done what you did, I'd never tell anyone about it.

To be fair to CL - there are people out there that legitimately sell tickets on their website. I've sold a number of extras to festivals and concerts that I've had because a friend had to bail last second and it was too late for stubhub...

However buying a ticket off CL 3 months before a concert is another matter......
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

Well I'm sure all of us have done some pretty stupid shit in our lives, so I'm not really judging you OP... you know it was a dumbass move, so lesson learned, obviously. But yeah, the real surprise in this story is that you would resort to such extreme measures months before the show, before seeing if you can find 10C tix here or watching what the ticket prices on SH.com do, etc.... Another lesson learned I guess! ;)

craigslist is a horrible site. I tried to sell my kids bed on there and some dick head sent me 2 "cashiers" checks for double the asking price. he wanted me to cash both of them and send him the remaining balance of our deal in cash.

Hey man, I am deeply sorry for your loss!!
And the fucker tried to fool me as well. Now I am really really sorry, especially because he/she tried to scam me like a week before your original post. Maybe I could have prevented you from doing a mistake
I was looking for Seattle-Tix as well and since he announced on craigslist that he was only willing to accept paypal, I thought to be on the safe side. So I wrote the guy an email whether the tickets were still available. Well, his answer from 7/30/13 was as follows:

"Well, the tickets are still available, however, Paypal is not.
Basically what happened was I had a buyer contact me right after I posted the ad on Craigslist, and he purchased the tickets and paid via Paypal. I was then contacted by Paypal last night and told that the funds would not be available, and that an investigation into the payment has been issued. I find out this morning that apparently the
guy had set up a fake Paypal account and used a stolen credit card to purchase my tickets.
Now, the funds from his payment are being held until the investigation reaches a full conclusion (typically 90 days said the Paypal rep.).
So that's how the tickets are still available, because I'm obviously not sending the tickets to the guy who tried to scam me.
I can't accept Paypal as a payment now because since this has happened, they have issued restricted access to my account which won't allow me to receive or make payments, or print shipping labels. I tried to open up another account with Paypal today to bypass the restrictions, but all of my bank and credit card info is already tied to my original account, and they won't let me set up a new one---so forget 'em.
My wife suggested I accept payment in the form of a USPS Money Order. She said in her experience, that method of payment is the least likely to be counterfeited, since so many money orders and checks are these days. Cash in the mail is not an option!.....Payment would have to be a USPS postal order.
Just to clarify, I will now have to ship with USPS Express(next day delivery) with Tracking(which I can email you those numbers when they become available since I'll have to walk-in to a Post Office to do my shipping for now).....or Fedex if you prefer.
As a 10 Club Member since 1999 I was lucky enough to win a lottery to be able to purchase tickets in advance.
I will leave my contact and shipping info for you if you decide you do still want the tickets. Also, I have had a great many responses for the tickets, and I must go through each response one at a time and await an answer to be fair, so a timely decision on your part would be appreciated. I will be at work all day, but will be home this evening, or just e-mail me back ASAP....Trying to get this done before the weekend hits, but we shall see.

I know, maybe it is not fair to post the entire original text, but since I am deeply convinced that name and adress is fake I just left it there.

After I received this email I was a little worried, so I checked whether I could come up with any other kind of "safe transaction" to suggest. I asked him whether he was ok with cash on delivery. He wasn´t. So I just forgot about all this. Until I read this post.
And yes, he is still posting shit:

I hope nobody falls for this guy ever again!!

Btw, I am still looking for 2xSeattle

I forgot to stress the following:
As a 10 Club Member since 1999 I was lucky enough to win a lottery to be able to purchase tickets in advance.
Basically, this is obvious enough, right? Nobody can send tickets which he/she has won through the lottery.
    That´s all so far :-)
    Cheers

You basically had to be trying not to get tickets to the Seattle show to not get tickets to the Seattle show. Sorry this happened though.
