There's a Boston show with a full acoustic set, like 39 songs or something...highly recommend that one...someone here can tell you what date it was played....

Boston III was July 11th, 2003.

I personally don't count the Boston show as the longest, because there was a break and support act in between the acoustic and electric set. State College is the longest continuous show i think.

i know about that boston one..but as you 've said there was a break and a support act in between..consider that as great show but i don't count that one..

Yep, i think that counts as the longest! I can't remember exactly where, could be theskyiscrape.com but there's a place that has the length of all the shows so you'd be able to find out. Anybody?

Mansfield, July 11, 2003 has 45 songs. It's a triple CD boot, with 3 encore breaks, has 48 tracks. A WHOPPER!

This is the longest show in terms of number of songs, with no substantial break or other act in between the sets.

Yeah but before THAT, it was State College. :) It was great because it was so spontaneous. The Mansfield show later in the 03 tour was kind of planned to be long, they announced there would be a pre-opening acoustic set, still had songs to get to in the "goal" etc... Philly 4 wasn't necessarily announced but you had a good idea it was gonna be a long night. But State College just sort of evolved into making it the longest show in the history of Pearl Jam... Ed announced that and the place just went crazy. I still have vivid memories of that show almost ten years later. The ushers pacing the aisles at 12 something looking at their watches etc...

As people have stated, Philly 4 2009 is the new reigning champ. Followed by State College 2003. The Mansfield 3 2003 doesn't count as S/K played in between PJ sets. Fortunately I was at all 3 shows. All were great for their own reasons. State College was the only one that didn't feel forced, the band and crowd were just amazing. The setlist was amazing by 2003 standards. Philly and Mansfield were great shows with lots of rarities. The Mansfield acoustic setlist was amazing, and is still the only time I have heard a few of their songs.

Philly and Mansfield were planned, so you knew you were going to get something special. They also were a bit of a letdown as PJ did miss songs you expected. Both were a bit unpolished, especially Philly 4. State College might be the greatest PJ show of all time to actually be at. No one expected it to be so epic.

Hell yeah! I figured it would be good because it was the end of that leg of the tour... but had no idea... I ended up going to that one by chance, kind of last minute after I'd already picked the other shows of that tour to get tix to.
