hey all, thank you for the notes and support... I just confirmed with Ticket master... I'm getting a gorgeous seat on the LA show in secion L behind stage with the chair and the doggy in full happy joy dance mode... (you watch, that's fun to see!!)
Learned that I don't have to accept the seats they offer..I can recheck to see what's open and asked for an absolutely specific seat. It worked both times... I was going to have seats so far away I could have sat in the parking lot.. double checked the seating charts... and pointed out my service dog does better with a monitor based siteline than a direct speaker siteline... voila... perfect seating! Whodda thunk that TM- the vile fee heisters would be kindly to those of us who have disabilities? --
OH and found that if you haven't listed wheelchair, write a VERY specific reason for your disability- they will adjust your needs accordingly. (No two week wait!) IT also helped to reply to the very specific customer service rep's number/name.
'
I'm on the CARAVAN!! woohoo, (I feel 30 years younger now) (shh) (not middle aged, not not not)

Cathe.
aka no one do like rat man do.

hey all... my hubby is all amped that I'm excited about leaving wheelchair life at home and going out and doing something fun like Pearl Jammin'. I don't get my by disability (thanks VA, life) check until the 14th of August, but I'm willing to pay cash that very day to anyone who can get me an aisle or a disabled seat behind stage area... (Love the loge area) or off the corners. I'm in 109 at the Phoenix show.. great spot.. awesome spot.. very last row, near the third lighting booth to the left. ;) :?: Sadly, I can't do floor seats, unless they have a wheelchair area that allows 10c's to see the show... (really not fun watching backsides especially if there was a a trip to Taco Bell, or I run into that guy I met who swore he hadn't washed his ..er ..well since he was in high school.) (made for a bad Bob Dylan show)(and three weeks of nasal washes later)

I'm pretty amped about the Caravan from AZ to SD to LA. and want to play too... But I can't unless I can get tickets. (I'm sure I'll find overpriced ones later...) BUT if anyone has any near an aisle or somewhere they wouldn't mind being near a service dog (The size of a chihuahua). (Monty is a lover and has a habit of snuggling during shows when he hears his favorite songs.) I'd also be willing to trade tickets to Penn & Teller in Las Vegas, ( you name the date) as a trade in stead of cash-- that guarantees a Meet and Greet after every show. I'd be willing to trade a pair of tickets for ONE ticket to either PJ show (or another pair to the other show too). I'll be able to pay cash on Aug 14. if a barter isn't what you want.

I promise I bathe. So does the dog. :)

To add to the ISO-- I'll be buying a ticket behind the stage if I can... and may, by doing so, have a second ticket to share....(If I can't find someone doing the same now!) Been watching Stubhub and Ebay/craigslist..YIKES!!!

FYI on this, too..if I can.. my hubby might not be joining me, so I should also have some room either in the suites I booked or the car, If you're dog friendly..., (fiat, one extra seat, the other is reserved for the wheelchairs)... sound system is great, and the radio is tuned to PJ Satellite. (if sat is down, IPOD is up!) Just need ONE seat.. dog is in my lap... or a seat near the wheelchair seating. Not being fussy- but I'm really happy sitting from corner to behind stage... as my favorite spots. Already have hotels in SD and LA booked, as well as SD.

I'm on catheb.com or cathejones.com if you want to know me a bit.

Looking at the seating chart, I think they actually have some accessible seats available behind the stage for LA1 and 2. But Ticketmaster told me I have to contact the box office to buy mobility impaired seats. They're closed on the weekend, so I'm going to call them on Monday and see if I can get an accessible seat to LA2, as I'm in a similar boat.

I do have a pair of 10C ADA seats to LA1, so if you have no luck in getting an LA1 accessible seat from the box office, I'd be willing to sell the extra ticket.

I'd be willing to buy it! :) Sucks that disability only pays monthly.... I will ABSOLUTELY love to buy the ADa seat for show 1.. I can't make it to show two in LA...If you'd be willing to wait to the 14th of August I can ensure i can send you cash. (paypal or cashiers check)

San Diego said I may have a good shot at the loge seats behind the stage even if I wait but I'm still looking.

I was just able to get an accessible seat for SD via Ticketmaster -- so you should go through them if you still need a ticket for that show! It's section H, so on the side of the stage, but it could be worse.

As for the LA1 ticket, as long as I can get an accessible LA2 ticket from the box office tomorrow, I'll be happy to sell the spare. I'll let you know how it goes.

You rock... I'm happy with H and L.. those spots are AWESOME for stage view.. My husband is giving me some cash on this Friday, so I'm amped now I can actually get them earlier :) (IF I hadn't gone to comic-con I would have all the cash already1 DOH!) I publish Cathescomicz.com and there's so much work there I had to do!

Just to make sure I'm clear -- I don't have an extra for the SD show (I just bought a single for myself), but Ticketmaster still has some accessible seats available, so check with them :).

Ok, just wanted to make sure!

I'll let you know how my accessible seat quest goes for LA2 tomorrow. It sure is frustrating being limited to so few seats.

What type of "gimp" are you, if it's okay for me to ask? It always makes me glad when people aren't afraid to ask about the chair, or canes, or service dog. But I get it other folks are uncomfortable. I have a few things going.. in the Navy I blew out some bones, and that was fun. I also have Ehlers-Danlos so when I move around, my bones and joints dislocate.. it was great in my 20's.. LOTS of fun then.... now i"m in my 40's I get stuck too often. I used to ride horses, and was in pretty tight shape, but prednisone added more problems, and added Hashimoto's to the pile of fun, then Myasthenia Gravis. There's a family joke that If they took my DNA, it would spell YIKES.

So I ended up going from a swimming, surfing, horse riding water baby to a Veterans Admin victim of bad medicine, (good band, that), and I don't recognize myself in the mirror anymore. I think that's my I got Sh(id) is my theme song, "When I'm not ugly and you're looking at me" makes me feel my disability like a great big red sign. :fp:

The good part is, I use it in my comic, (ratmando- the ratirl! whose theme is " No one DO like the Rat Man Do") I"ve relearned to play music with computers, and thanks to the support of a very loving husband I can go see shows I want... He said to me "If Led Zeppelin were touring right now, I'd want to do the same thing!". How can you not love a guy who meets you in a wheelchair and still treats you like a princess 10 years later?

So, thats why I'm hoping there are still behind-stage tickets by Friday! :) VERY glad to hear you got your seats because I'm feeling pretty hopeful. My family is in Massachusetts, so I don't know what show they're going to.. but I got to see my brother going to Comic-con Boston this year.. so I have hope I'm rubbing off on them! :)

Wow, that's a lot of stuff. It's great you have such a supportive family, though!

I have a cane, I've had one for about 4 years now. It's progressive, so at some point I might need a wheelchair, but for now I've been holding fine with the cane. I can climb stairs if I go sideways and there's a rail, but it takes a while so it's not ideal. So I usually try to just get the accessible seats for concerts now.

For LA2, I called the box office and they took down my info, and they said they would get back to me in about a week. Not sure why it takes so long but I just have to wait and see I guess.

Just talked to them.. They're opening up more "disabled friendly seats" because of such a high volume requested. They may even open more disabled parking by adding it out of the valet at the venue. I'm on the list for the SD waiting .. said it could be by tomorrow that I'll know. (Perfect financial timing) The LA (1) show is the one that I'm also waiting on- I asked specifically seats that will be easier on my service dog... (he pulls my manual chair! ) I find out about LA seats hopefully tonight because they said the Second LA show is the one that's getting more demand. I still want behind or side stage. My favorite spots...I also let them know I can park my scooter up into an eave if they need to give me an aisle on a lower level, (Opened up more options). It's good that the parking is only $7!!

    :)

This lady is going to the show!!!

I've never been so happy since the day my hubby asked me if I'd mind a drive to our wedding in one of Liberace's cars..it even had a candalabra on the hood! Thanks to one of the wonderful members of the 10c family-Given to...! I am so excited to be attending not one-- AZ, not two- SD- not three - LA1 but all FOUR of the Arizona Fan Caravan tour shows...and I couldn't have done it without him. I was in 100% high school girl- omg-the patridge-family-bus-just landed at my doorstop shock. (if you're old enough you'll get it.) :D:lol:

For the last eight years or so, I've been so beaten down by the Veteran's Hospitals, the stupid disease I never expected to have.... I've been hiding.. in hiding... so far and deeply. My husband has been my one view to the outside world, and working as a RAT trainer.. for magicians and musicians.... I went from being so out there in the world. When i saw Eddie's concert and heard Arc, live...it was like my life was recharged with new reasons to be part of things again. Not just Arc..although, I still shake hearing it in my mind again and again- but everyone around me was so kind, and giving...and human. I forgot to be part of the human race. I was on stage so long I didn't know how to be on earth. And now forced on earth, I didn't know how to be anything... My music, writing, my critters, my husband... all of these were all I had.

Thanks to Given to... and his family....and the 10c family, I feel a sense of belonging again. If that doesn't say how powerful music is to life..I don't know what does. Thanks again D- for making me fly again. It's even cooler to me, because today is the anniversary from when my husband and I started dating..that's when life got better. Everyone needs to be needed, and to feel worthy of living a full life. What I have now--- a reason to feel that again. Thanks so much my new friend.... you're family now!

    Awesome. Have a great time!
  • So there are other seats for wheelchair users where we can see, besides getting up by the stage? I got very lucky one time, last San Diego show. Other shows, I have not even been able to see a thing except asses. I haven't been able to get any tickets for these shows. Any advice? I'd really love love love to be able to get up front one more time! I'm small and in a small chair. If anyone has an extra 10c GA I could buy, that's be amazing. I wonder if there's a seating area for chairs...
I have a young Service dog in training, but no way would he do well at a show LOL. My last guy went to one of Ed's solo shows with me, and has met him :)

    Yes ! !
I spoke directly with Ticketmaster and elected seats to the side and behind the stages for all four shows I am attending. Do your dog the best favor and get him Mutt muffs which are the best hearing protective gear for dogs I found this past week. My service dog is a Chihuahua, and he fights the idea until music starts. That and his favorite album is VS. ALSO MY newest dear friends, David Black and his family sold me one of his extra tickets, we have a wonderful service dog friendly spot.

I am so happy to meet other alternative-tables folks.....maybe we need a PJ gimpy-limpy-rolling-pre-jam-a-go go brunch across from Amoeba Records. The restaurant is vegan, cow, pasta and has one of those bar places, (met lemmy there before :))

Awesome! Glad TM was able to take care of you. You should be getting some more bumper stickers too.

I'll PM you some more info...

  • I love bumper stickers :) I won't be bringing my dog in..IF I get in! I don't think there's a need for a service dog in that situation. He's large, too, so that makes it difficult in crowds like that. I took my last Shepherd to see Eddie's solo show, though :)
