Corduroy ALT version 2013

I have always loved this song soooo much and never got sick of it(same as Even Flow)

To me it's one of PJ's greatest songs
It's a highlight of every show I see/hear. Still gives me goosebumps
Thankfully, they play it a lot

I searched Youtube and this is the best new version I could find
I LOVE what they did to it-ALT version circa 2013
It's just one more reason why I love this band

The waiting drove me mad...

Crank this one up, it has decent sound and is close up and in HD.

Thanks to the selfless fan who sacrificed watching this through a tiny screen so we all could enjoy it

I hate to be a party pooper, but I really didn't like it at all when I heard it. I feel like they took the power out of the song by deflating the "everything has chains, absolutely nothing's changed" line.

Now, the 90s Bridge School alternate version is fantastic.

I love the new drum parts in particular on this alt version. Matt rocks.

And watching Jeff is my favorite part of this video. Thanks for posting.

And I also love that we all filled in, "Everything has chains, absolutely nothings changed" before we were aware of alt version. Cool to hear an old song in new ways.

I agree actually. On first listen- not feeling it.

I want to hear it a few more times. I do like the jam at the end.

However, that '96 Bridge version is so fucking good. Absolutely love that version.

Great version of the song... Here's to hoping they play it in Buffalo, and I get as good of seats as fliptwister! :D

I mean I suppose I'm nerdy about Pearl Jam, but after the quiet "everything has chains" I kept waiting for him to yell the line for the next 2 or 3 times around. I felt blue balled once they went back to the chorus without it. The quiet thing before the jam was actually cool, but it would've been that much better if they did it quiet and then repeated it yelling.

Take notes, guys. Do it the right way in Philly in October!

I agree 100%. Didn't like whatever they did there. Corduroy is supposed to be fast and punky, not have a soft pop vibe. The bridge school alt version is beautiful, but it's a different song. Like they did with lukin.

And if someone puts a gun to my head, imo Corduroy is their all-time best song.

Corduroy seems to be the song that the casual fans who are sick of everything on Ten/Better Man/Daughter gravitate to. With good reason. It's a fantastic song. It's grown on me more and more over the years.

This is the best version in my opinion. Very similar to the 90s Bridge School version. Excellent quality.
I think this should replace Just Breathe during those slow 1st encores :D

    Filmer missed McCready's solo ????

    What the deuce?????

I like the "idea" of new corduroy but this needs work.
They should try a slow opener and then crank like they do sometimes with Porch.

Heck , bring back "new Jeremy" circa 1995 tour!

    That has lots of spark!!!

Thank God they made the mid-90s Jeremy go away. I could live without hearing Jeremy at all honestly, but I hated the version they toyed around with in 95/96.
