There's far less Blackie's than 125. They got pulled during the sale. According to Expresso Beans, there's only record of "9" sales in 13 years!! There has been "9" Ames variants on ebay already! Plus it's a variant, if you like the poster you can always get it in purple. You can't do that with the Blackie. There's thousands of the Wrigley Ames show version, 125 of the A/P & 55 of the variant! They're everywhere! I just never got the whole variant thing, came on late after the poster craze really hit. Just seems like a cash grab for the artist, print it in different colors, sign it and then charge 4 times as much as the original.

I was just basing the 125 of the Chicago Blackie off of EB.

And like I said, a lot must have bought this Wrigley print with the intent of flipping, but if anything....they are all selling too low too fast. I normally agree with you about the whole variant thing. Such as with PJ20 variants, they look like dull test prints or something, not an upgrade at all!

But with the Wrigley, it is totally different in color and appearance! It might as well be a totally different poster. Yes, there is the show and AP purple poster, but it just isn't the same thing.

That's BS. I made an impulsive jump at it the first time I saw it and bought mine for $550.

I've been burnt by that in the past though. Although, when I jumped and paid $400 for the PJ20 Mark5 Eagle poster I think I did pretty good.

Most of the numbered items I have serious considered buying on ebay they are included in pics or the legit seller would send it via email to keep it somewhat private. Honestly I wouldn't buy an item if they wouldn't be willing to show it actually was numbered as claimed.
