So, no Pearl Jam tour until 2008...

Does anybody knows if they will stop touring until next years? any news or rumours going around? I really hope them to visit us in summertime...
...can´t wear my mask, your first my last...

    I'm gonna venture to guess they won't even tour in '08....they've been touring since 05 and I'm sure they need a break before they crank out a new album and hop on the road again. :(

    I know how you feel...I didn't get to see them at all this year and it sucks. At least my last tour memory was at the Gorge.

    I got a greeting card from Stone this morning, and he said they're not going to be touring again to 2012, as Jeff is taking a few years off to fulfill his lifelong dream of being the guy at the train depot who says, "Aaaaaall aboooooard!!" Said Stone: "Well, God knows he's got the hats for it."

    The only good thing about them not touring for a while is for me to save some $$$ for the next tour :)

    as far as im concerned they wont be touring anymore...EVER, eddies gotta new solo album and he´ll be focusing on his solo career , its a pearl jam hiatus

    Well, Mike said they won't be doing anything until they possibly hit the studio in April 2008...so I'm guessing we won't get another tour until 2009, at the earliest.

    I know they are playing at a festival in Costa Rica along with Depeche Mode in October..we should try and push for shows in South America along as there are any chances.

    Not sure how people can say they've been touring non-stop since 2003 ... they toured, for what, 3 weeks this entire year? In most of our lines of work, I'm sure 11 months off in a year would be characterized as a significant break!

    I think that the next Pearl Jam album will be released sometime in the second half of 2008 and that they will embark on a tour right after that.

    Heard a rumour they would play Europe again next summer. Not kidding you, but I am not sure whether the person telling me was kidding me....if he was not, then you know who told you first!

    I think theyll record next year in bits and pieces and release it '09, and also play a handful of shows around the US, basically keep themselves active without exerting themselves. I think it would probably be for the best.

    I was annoyed about the sound though, awesome set and subpar sound :( Still I had a good time. :)

    Hopefully they return soon but they do need a break - spending it with their offsprings!!! :) OK, 2 years should be more than enough! See you guys in :rolleyes: 2009(or sooner!:mad:)!!!

    It seems they won't release something before second half of 2008 at least.

    So, I predict the next LP to be released beginning of 2009 with a world tour following that year. Maybe a few gigs end of 2008 (in USA ? or somewhere exotic : Asia ?)

    So nothing before 2009 sounds realistic for me.... unfortunately.

    France is waiting for them, though...

    Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

    ... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
