I saw them open for STP a few years back and they were pretty awesome, real high energy show. Have tix to see them for a Lollapalooza aftershow in a couple weeks, should be interesting... small venue, show doesnt start till 11, and theres an opener so im guessing Cage wont even come on til after midnight

Caught them at Sasquatch, they were fantastic. A ton of energy and Matthew did a ton of stage diving. The new stuff sounded great, even better than on album.

Back Against the Wall is my favorite song by them.
The way it builds into the chorus is just like Given To Fly...but better!

Just saw them at the Pemberton festival!
It was a great show he stage dove into the crowd and we helped him crowd surf
for five minutes or so.(5 real minutes!)

Great energy, I also saw them open for the Black Keys and they were really good then too.

Check them out if you can. :)

Holy SH#($T. Just got back from Cage the Elephant show in CT tonight. I have had the pleasure of seeing a ton of great bands over the years but this has to be one of the very top tier of shows i have seen. Absolutely AMAZING live. Tons of energy, they sounded great. They only played about 15 songs but now I know why, I am drained I cant image how they are feeling seeing the energy they bring to the stage. Go see these guys NOW!!!

After Cage posted the chords to Cigarette Daydream on facebook, I have been inspired to pick up the guitar again! Almost got Cigarette Daydreams good enough to sing + play along to it. :D

I saw that on social media! Starting the recording process, correct? I thought melophobia was a great progression to a newer sound while still staying true. I hope they can continue that, but I will probably love anything lol

actually, I got the impression they were writing, not yet recording. but maybe I read it wrong.

I would honestly go in order.

    Self titled
    Thank you happy birthday
    Melophobia

They also have a live cd/dvd that is really good. And about a full albums worth of b sides.

The two schulz brothers also had a band called Perfect Confusion prior to CtE, that they refuse to talk about (except for saying it was crap), but I liked it.

Saw them at Red Rocks on Monday and all I can say is, "Wow!" They play with so much energy and at the end of the show, Matt crowd surfed from the stage all the way to the top. 70 rows! Was quite a sight to see and took me back to 1995 and a band called Pearl Jam that also played with intense energy. CTE is one of the better newer bands making music today.

Never really got into them. Saw them at the Orion Music Festival a few years ago though and thought they were real good. Dug some of the songs i heard like come a little closer. Although didn't really care for ain't no rest for the wicked and in one ear (got overplayed way too much, IMO).

Saw them last night in MN. They've improved their show quite a bit from the last time I saw them opening for STP in 2010. Was a fun show and they sounded great.
